Well, it is a matter of where do I start. I have been training at Future
Bodies Gym for over 2 years now. I used to just come for general personnel
pleasure & keeping fit, but that was all soon to change. It was one
day (to which I cannot remember) when I approached Ian in the Gym &
said "I need to lose some weight of my thighs & bum, can you recommend
any exercises that will work". Ian's response was one of great enthusiasm;
he talked & showed me through numerous exercises, which after a couple
of weeks started to work. However, I was not happy, I wanted more &
the results to be quicker - so, having seen Ian training other girls
within the Gym, I thought I could do that. So the very next visit, I
made that all-important decision to make an appointment.

I
knew the very minute I started my routine with Ian, this was not
going to be easy (although it had looked it). Ian asked me what
my ambitions in life were, & when faced with that question I did
not really know how to reply or if I had any at all. In the end,
I said "I don't really have a goal, I just want to look the best
I've ever been". No, problem". He replied, lets begin... It has been
approximately six months now & I can honestly say, I did not expect
to look this good or feel this good.I'm
not saying it's been easy, it's been damn hard work & if your ever
in the Gym & you here screaming & swearing, then that's me being
put through my paces. I am really the quite type, but when you
are put under such intense training, it is amazing the volume you
can achieve.

They
have even nicknamed me the "Screamer". The last couple of weeks I have
been aiming to look my best for a photo shoot Ian had arranged for Chris
& himself, of which he asked if I would be interested in having some
shots taken for his website. I gladly accepted, but said "I have to
look my best, before I can let you put them on". Well, as you can see,
I do not think I look at all that bad. I have had to work hard to achieve
my look. However, with great enthusiasm & such focus on each work out
from Ian, pushing me just that little bit further each time with each
work out. I think after just 6 months training just twice a week, I
have decided to aim my goal just that little bit higher & really go
for it. So It's now January & I have decided to go for my first ever
competition, which is to be held in September. I am so nervous, but
I know with support from Ian I will be able to achieve
my look & goal. I am hopeful at coming within the top 3.
That is my new goal/challenge I have set myself, something to aim for & hope
fully achieve.... (I never settle for second best, if you know you can do better
then push to do it)! I cannot really say in words how much Ian has done for me,
in such a short time. Do not really think you can put down in words, how much
appreciation I have for this man. He will put everything to one side, just to
ensure you have his full attention. I would certainly recommend Ian as a personnel
trainer to anybody & to start sculpting your bodies now. I can safely say - I
look the best I have ever been with a little time & dedication, with the right
support & training, you too could achieve your ultimate goal. GO FOR IT!
Update
2004
Claire
has been a client for around two years and a good friend for around
six years as she trained at my gym for years before being a client,
the years Claire trained for fitness she avoided the weights and
when she did use them she used very light ones. She
did not get the results she was looking for and approached me for
some
PT.
Claire
had a good basic figure structure and I knew if she trained hard
she would look fantastic. I told her this and we scheduled
a photo session to give her something to aim for.She was
more than pleased with the results and expressed she might like
to compete.

Claire
at the British
Championships 2003
We picked a show and as they say, the rest is history as Claire
qualified for the British and placed 5th in her first British
championships.
She looked fantastic with a great shape with detailed abs and great
stage presence. Look out for her in 2004.
Claire
and I work hard to bring her legs and bum into top shape. The legs
workouts she went through were some of the toughest
I have ever
done for anybody. Upto competing we got to the point where
Claire’s
legs were not responding as we would like so some shock tactics
were in order.
One workout was a fifty rep one like so - Squats 88lb 2x50 reps
45 seconds rest in between. Right into with little rest Leg
curls 22lb
2x50 reps. Then leg press with 200lb 2 sets of 50 reps.
That was it then for the fifty rep sets. We then finished
with ball squats with 30lb for 2 sets of 20 reps.
The following week we did a giant set for legs 6 exercise
one after the other with no rest in between, for two rounds.
This is very,
very tough. I remember Louise my wife doing this twice
a week when she needed
to bring her legs down for show.
First up was squats 110lb - 20 reps - leg curls 25lb -
20 reps. Leg Press 250lb - 20 reps. Bench
step up Stepping up on a high bench one leg at
a time, pulling through with the bum and hip 20 reps. there was about
forty seconds stretching then it was back to it, another round.
