Following the birth of my second child I was left with 2stone 6lbs of
weight/fat to loose/ I mixed my workouts, some c.v. work, aerobic classes
and weights at Future Bodies Gym. I lost the bulk of weight slowly, then
I reached a point where I stayed the same and wasn't seeing much of a
change in body shape. I wanted to see toned muscles especially around
my bum and thighs: these were real problem areas for me. I decided to
seek advice from Ian and asked him to devise me a program targeting the
problem areas.
 Ian took
me around the gym and introduced me to a totally different workout
to what I am used to. The workout was hard but manageable. I knew
this was what I needed and decided to appoint Ian as my personal
trainer. After only 5 sessions I am making positive progress and
can see a visible difference from week to week. The workouts are
hard and quite gruelling at times, but with the friendly, positive
encouragement from Ian 'I do it' he knows how far to push and knows
what I am capable of. I feel as ease with Ian the workouts are safe
and effective. He is very
conscientious always checking positioning/technique and praising a job
well done. I can honestly say that I enjoy and look forward to my
workout
even though I ache like hell the next day. I feel good, energised, de-stressed
and most of all its working.
Big thanks
Ian,
Jenny

UPDATE 2004

Jenny on
stage at
the ANB
British '03
Jenny has been a client now for over two and a half years.
She is a mother of two and runs a successful business with her husband. The business
is a gym of sorts as it is a kiddies play gym, called PLAYDAYZ.

Jenny trains
twice a week with me on a high intensity weight training program.
She will also do 2-3 CV sessions a week to aid recovery and metabolism stimulation.
A sample leg workout that was used up to her recent British win
was as follows:
Walking lunges up and down the gym for aprox 150 feet with 25lb
dumbells in each hand. From these with no rest it is right on to
the leg press with 300lb or so
on the machine. These are done for around 20 fast non lock-out reps. Then
without any rest it is right back to the lunges for as many lunges
of the gym she can
do.

As you can guess they are very tough at this point, right back
to leg
press for another 20 reps, then a brief rest and stretch
is applied.
Next up is a combination of seated leg curls with around
50lb’s
for around 20 reps with squats. The squats are performed for 20
non lock out reps with around 110lb-120lb. This is done twice around with
again no rest,
only after
two such
rounds is a brief 1 min rest allowed and stretching is done.

The
next and final combination is ski lunges with 45lb, this
is a side to side lunge, that is great for the inner thigh and bum,This
is combined with ball squats. This is a wide stance squat
performed with the ball in the base of the back against a wall. These
are a deep movement that if done low targets the upper thigh and
bum. these are done also with weight around 40-50lb for around the
usual 15-20 reps.
After two rounds of these legs are well and truly done.
We always strive in
our workouts to improve in either reps or weight or both and the pace is
fast.
Jenny works very hard and is a joy to work with. Her hard work paid off as in
2003 she won the ANB British Athletic class In one of the best line
ups I have seen in years. A few weeks after that Jenny placed second in the world
championships.
Jenny has a fantastic shape and is even conditioned throughout,
as you can see her from the photos she looks awesome.
Well done Jenny keep
up the good work, Ian.
