NEWS & VIEWS (December '09)

Is it me or do the years go faster as you get older?
Can not believe how fast this one has gone---but that said --it has been one of my best years ever-- up to now.
I know that 2010--is looking to be very good--I have a lot of seeds sown and plans for the year ahead.
Also, I am booked up with clients wanting to work with me for shows and other projects.
So excited about the coming year.
I am going to work hard and enjoy every day to the full.

Can I take this opportunity to thank all my clients, also to the customers who have bought products from me and to all those that take time to read my blogs and other articles on this site.
I appreciate each and every one of you.
I am humbled by the fact that of all the trainers you could choose you have little me.
Thank you for making my life what it is today---I will always give my 100% to you.

Been a good year for shows as I have said in last months news and views.
Jenny topped off a good year with a 3rd place at the Chet Yorton Cup in Washington USA.
She looked her best ever--very sharp--and with more balance throughout.
I have seen the DVD and it was her toughest competition to date---every girl was awesome.
I am very proud of you Jen.

Got some articles in my head I want to put on the site. It has just been a time issue at the moment--just been so busy with shows and clients that I have not got them down yet.
I am also on with two books -- Iron Will and the Nutrition Manual-- I am on with them but very slow.
But I will do the articles over the Christmas weeks---as a few clients are away and that gives me some keyboard tap out time. So keep an eye on the blogs as I will post when they are up.

Talking of books---Brooks Kubik has a new one out ---for the older trainer--Grey Hair Black Iron.
This you can order on his site--www.brookskubik.com.
I have everything this guy has produced---he is the best iron game writer out there.

Grey hair ehh, well getting plenty of that---But--I feel mega at 44--better than ever--I think I feel young cause I act young.
I never want to grow up ---sure I am all business when I have to be --but all other times I am a kid.
You have to 'not' be stressed--you have to take life each day. Have fun for as pure as it is.
God you should see me with Louis.
I run around with him more than his mates do---I am his dad --but he tells me that I am his 'best-ist' mate.
Molly, is well Molly---at 11 now she only wants me to be with her when she wants money--ha-ha.

I am not cool anymore---was I ever?
She is very clever and articulate--not got that from me then!!
I am so proud of them both.

Louis and I are road tripping to Bridlington the weekend before Christmas.
We are staying in the farm cottage --just the two of us, can not wait.
Over that weekend we will run riot around the woods--climbing --making bows and arrows--beach combing--just some good kid fun---The stuff I did when I was a kid---oh I still am!!
Can not wait and neither can my little man---who is 8 and nearly my height--calls me 'titch'!!!

So, once again thank you all-- for everything.
Love to you all --have a happy Christmas and a fantastic new year.
Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (Oct/Nov '09)

Hi guys.
Sorry I have not wrote in a while, can not tell you how busy we are here at bodyindesign, I just did not have the time to write.
Anyway, here now to give you a little rundown of what's happening here in the camp.

Shows.
Well, we had a fantastic year and in the figure we won four of the six qualifiers and if I am not mistaken we also got best presentation in each of those shows also. The other two qualifiers we did not go to.
The BNBF figure finals Jenny won and Caroline won the NPA British as you may know from my blogs.
We seem to be doing something right.
Last year we won the BNBF --with Heather--and second and third in the NPA.
Year before that we had both finals again, with Jen winning both-- and the Worlds.
Two years prior--NPA finals on both years, Jen one, Clare one.
In the next few weeks we have Jenny heading off to the Chet Yorton World Cup in Washington DC.
Lets hope she can repeat a Worlds win.
She does look the best I have ever seen her.

We will only move on--I have no intention of pulling up a bit, no I want to improve and work harder and smarter with all my clients. I have had a few new girls start working with me recently that will be competing next year, as well as most of the girls we have now.
Soooo-- looking forward to 2010.

Caroline, always the worker and very proactive has just opened a new studio.
She has worked in the industry for years and has realised a dream in owning her own studio.

I wish her all the best in her new business, I wont wish her luck, as she makes her own, she is a girl that get's things done.

Caroline, finals 2009

Two clients and good friends of mine are also just about to open studios/gyms.
Martin and James.
These two guys are in my Train to Train side of my business and I am so proud to work with them.
They are just two fantastic, passionate hard working guys, that will be successful.
I will give you a rundown on each business next month when there sites are up.

You may have read in my blogs, that I am going to step on stage again next year, yer I know more comebacks than Rocky.

Well after this years guest pose at the Yorkshire--I thought wow--after all these years I am just getting good now at 43 'LOL'.
I am now making better gains than at anytime in my life.
I have improved my skin tone and know how to come in shredded without killing myself.
So why not, go for it.
My life is busy, but more balanced than at any other time in my life as well.
So I am improving.
Also I was inspired by bodybuilders the same age or older who are still kicking young uns butts on stage.
Chris Faildo--43.
Dave Goodin --51.
Here is a photo of Dave at 51...

What excuse have I got.
Keep an eye on my blogs for my journey --filled with information.
Love to ya all Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (September '09)

Hit the road running this past week---been on a little break in my home town of Bridlington. You know how it is when you get back to work---if I can call this awesome job work.
What a fantastic week we had---I think we had the best of this British summer---one day it was 27 degrees---I kid you not.
We stayed in a huge log cabin close to Danes Dyke on the out-skirts of Brid--It was just beautiful---Thick woods one side of the cabin---Cliff tops, a short walk to the other.
It is on the estate that is called, Bridlington Links Golf and Leisure, if you are into golf you would be in heaven here, as they have a 9 and 18 hole course and a driving range.
I am not into golf --but I was in my heaven, as a short half a mile walk would see me at the club house that was home to a fantastic gym.
Pure Fitness, a great gym with everything you need, wall to wall life fitness.
I met a young lady,Gemma she runs the gym and personal trains clients there also.
With me being in the gym most day's we got to have some great conversations and by the end of the week after meeting her other half Daniel, we really hit it off.
They are a couple that are very dedicated to helping people---I very much could see-- Louise and myself in them both how we were a few years back at the start of
bodyindesign.

Gemma, I spoke to most as I did not meet with Daniel until near the end of our stay. Gemma's area of expertise is Nutritional Therapy and weight management---also a vegetarian, so with myself being on that road--we had plenty to cover.

I would highly recommend a visit to the gym to meet this awesome couple--A weekend break, maybe just the thing.
You just can not do better than fresh sea air--nature all around you and some great workouts, not to mention good food.
I had such a great time and had some great workouts --to top it all off.
I will list some of my workouts on my blog.

The web site is www.bridlington-links.co.uk

Had such great family time ---tons of walks--I took the kids one day on my--"Come see what dad did when he was a kid"--treck--We ' trekked ' for 3 hours one of the days. Through Danes Dyke---made some spears --bows and arrows--climbed --swung on trees--It was ace, I was a kid again.
We then hiked some more across the cliff tops towards Flamborough, with our spears and other bits and bats. We must have looked like something out of the Lord Of The Flies. On the way back--"Daaaaad---me legs hurt me" "Daaaaaad--give me a piggy back"---have you seen my kids --they are huge?
Molly is 11---Louis--is 7---Moll's is up to my chin---Lou my shoulder. Taking after Louise, at 6 foot---and not me.
"Daaaad"--No---"But Daaaad"--No. We kept that up---for half an hour with a few 'are we there yet's'
They made it back to the cabin and slept like logs that night.
I will bet I will have child line giving me a call---They wanted to treck --honest!

Most evenings we went star and animal spotting. The sky was so clear some nights, it was freaky. Stars as far as the eye could see. I was getting all philosophical ---one night--looking up into the vastness that is space--"Do you know kids, looking up at this- just"---"Hurts ya neck"---says Lou. I was going to say how small this world is and how we are just a speck-- in this universe---Never finished, for laughing.

Animals we saw regular in the evenings, deer, a ton of rabbits and owls.Owls just spook you out---as yes, they 'hoot'---but fly silently. You just see a bright white thing glide over your head--with not a sound.
The wings on the underneath of some owls are very white, so in the darkness---it lights up the sky.

We had just an awesome time and I met two new friends---after all the shows this year we will go back for a couple of days break, love it.
Talking of shows---roll on next weekend, the South East Championships---Dan and Sara are in this one---both are looking fantastic. So proud of them.
All in all guys as normal-- a busy but awesome month.
Look after your-selves and those you love.
Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (August '09)

Hi guys and welcome to another news and views.
I know I say this every month---but --wow this year is flying---I am sure the years go quicker as you get older.
This last month has been just as busy as ever, here goes, on the news here at bodyindesign...

Louise Lindsey ---got the win she has worked so hard for at the North West. Lou came to me a few years ago and soon got into wanting to step up on that stage and worked hard towards it.
Lou will not mind me saying that it has been an up hill battle all the way.
But she kept on getting up, dusting off, improving and having another go. She never give up on her dream---Inspiration girl, that's what you are.

Dave Simpson --a long time client and friend took to the stage for the first time and came in second in the novice class at the same show.
Dave was unrecognisable from 10 months prior to the tan and trunks day out.
All credit to him ---he did everything spot on and never once cheated.

Last weekend at the BANFF --qualifier in Manchester--Tracy came in second in a very close fought figure class.

Tracy has some of the best genetics I have seen in a girl for a while--Well balanced --fantastic shape--solid everywhere.
She is a hard worker and is looking forward to the finals in her home land of Scotland.
Watch out for this girl.

More shows and more girls to take to the stage.
The next one for us is the South East--with Danielle and Sara in that one---Both are looking awesome.

Read some great books this last month, three of these from a chap called Ross Enamait of www.rosstraining.com. You have to check this guy out ---he blew my mind---Have a look at his site --his books I highly recommend.
I also enjoyed Raising the Bar---by Dave Tate of www.elitefts.com ---Just one of those books you will read many --many times--loved it.
I have just ordered Dan Johns new one --Never Let Go---He is one of the best writers out there, love the way he writes---I have three writers that I just think are awesome---Number one, for me-- is Marty Gallagher--number two is Dan John--three is Brooks KubiK---Anything written by these guys I will buy.

Going on me "hols" soon--having a week in the cabin at Bridlington again---Looking forward to time with the family.
We have lots planned---fishing and camping being just a couple of them.
Can not go far away with all the shows and client's prep at the mo---So I can not be away too long either.
We may go to LA at the end of the year to see Robby and Arden--see how time pans out.
Anyway---have a great day--week and month---Love to ya all Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (July '09)

Well again---I always seem to say this "what a year"---so busy --things are just the best.
The Yorkshire went so well---all those months of dieting---all well worth the reception I got at the show.
What also made it so special was the fact that Robby and Arden spent a week with myself and my family.

What a great week---spending time with my idol--it just blew my mind ---here is a man I looked to when I was a kid and just starting in the sport --training with me!!!.
I picked up so much from the man ---that it will last me a life time.
We also had a great time at the show--promoting the master class DVD---Robby's built t-shirts and my bodyindesign clothing line---not to mention AST products---what a day I was worn out.
Thank you to everyone that spoke to me and Robby on the day--thank you to each and every one of you for your kind words.

As you can see bodyindesign site is changing and improving ---we have new products for sale ---the master class DVD--Old school--and our clothing line.
I am hard at work ---since the show on a few projects.
I am on with a new Robby article that will cover the week we trained and the last weeks prep.
I have also got stuck into my books---the nutrition manual and my bio-- Iron will.
These I am working on like mad.

I will also put out a new old school program based on my current plans and goals in training and nutrition.

Lots and lots to look forward to.

Please have a look at the train to train section as we now have Sherry Carter's web site up and live---Sherry owns and runs the very successful Transform12---check out the site you will be impressed.
Proud to be associated with this lady.

I will be at most of the shows this year--I have so many clients who are stepping under the lights---some for the first time.
So if you see me about-- please feel free to come and say hi.
I always like to meet old friends-- and new.
Take care love to you all Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (June '09)

Hi guys---is it me or is this year going soooo fast.
Must be my age.
Well as I write this, the weekend of the Yorkshire has just passed.
What an awesome show---I know I always say it, but---it had to be the best ever.

I had a great time guest posing and had a great week spent with Robby Robinson and wife- Arden leading up to the big day.
I have plans to write an article based on that week ---as soon as I can.
It could be called- When Ian Met Robby 2.

The first article I wrote is still getting great feedback---so it was well worth the effort.
The master class DVD that covers that article is now available from my-self---You will love this 2 hour DVD.
I sold a shed load at the Yorkshire and word of it is spreading fast.
It is a very in-depth enjoyable professionally made DVD---you will love it.

Not being up my-self–but my condition and improvement –caused a bit of a stir at the Yorkshire.
That was my goal.
Through my blog and emails I have been asked- what did I do different.
Well ---two things---number one I trained-- very, very strict.
Number two---and here’s the one that caused the most eyebrows to be raised---I followed an –Lacto Ovo Vegetarian diet. (no meat or fish –but eggs and some diary )

Writing my blog at first I did not want to mention that I was heading that way---Also when writing my nutrition manual I stated that I was on the fence with being a vegetarian.
For all intense purposes I wanted to prove to myself first that I could and that it could be done not eating meat or fish.

I think I achieved my goal---and the proof is in the results.
I was tighter than ever before and fuller ---I was in the shape of my life at 43—and improved on what I had at the Worlds.

I am not saying that vegetarian is for everyone---it just feels right for me.
My system works better –my energy and health is better.
Competition diets are soooo unhealthy---I wanted to get in shape on the healthiest of diets and show that it can be done ---Without tons of meat.
I felt very good ---got incredibly sharp and vascular all while feeling real good.
My diet was based around, eggs, nuts, seeds, fruit and a ton of vegetables. Everything organic.
The only thing I had non organic was AST---XGF and I used branch chain amino’s-- emptied from the capsules into some organic apple juice in-between meals.

Six months ago at the start of my diet, I had some meat once or twice a week and I drifted off that.
I then had some fish ---sardines-- a few times a week---and then I slowly cut them out---Till I was just eating eggs, nuts and XGF as my source of protein.

So my protein was low but, very good quality---I was maybe on 50---to 60g a day.
Why---you may ask why---main reason health---My good friend David died recently of cancer and it was attributed to meat consumption.
Now who eats meat more than a bodybuilder?
I wanted to get in awesome shape but, not risk my health ---Would I be able to do it without meat---The answer now is yes.
I am still not eating it---I enjoy my diet---years ago I was a vegetarian and did not know how to balance my calories like I do now---So am looking forward to some gains ahead, being big full and strong ---all while being as healthy as I can possibly be.

I know what I have wrote here will cause a bit of a stir in the natural bodybuilding circles as it is rare that a veggie can attain the level of conditioning to win shows these days.
Well I think I struck the right balance of diet this time.
I hope this has given you something to think about.

I will be at other shows this year with a stand ---selling DVD’s and the bodyindesign clothing line----So feel free to come and chat to me about the above.
No doubt I will be tucking into a huge salad with eggs nuts and seeds.
Take care of yourself and those you love.
Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (May '09)

This month I would like to dedicate to my good friend David Symon, who lost his fight with cancer on the afternoon of the 30th of April.

I will miss our times together my friend, I loved working with you and helping you reach for your goals.
I feel blessed that I was the one you choose to help you all those years ago.
My life is richer for the times we had---I will never forget you my friend.

My heart goes out to Jenny and family, I am so sorry for your loss.
Rest in peace love Ian.

Dave lost his fight at age 52---he had so much of his life left in front of him.
I loved our workouts and I have to say Dave inspired me, and I told him often.
He was a little taller than me and at his best he weighed just over twelve stone. That was all lean tissue and you could see abdominal definition at this weight.

He had a strong look, fantastic arms, thick forearms and good legs.
He not only looked strong but could use that muscle as well.
Every year end we would meet for a Power Day---here we would workout and strength test---it was something we did every Christmas time.
On the 30th of the 12th 07.
Here are the weights Dave preformed that day.
After warm up’s and working through to his top weight for the day.
Dave preformed a squat of 4 plates a side for 3 reps.

In the bench press, after warming up and working up to a top weight for the day. Dave did a pause bench press with 2 plates and a 5k a side.

His favourite was the dead-lift—he loved the raw power and simplicity of the movement.
After warm ups he preformed a rep with 4 plates and a 7.5 a side.

All these weights were preformed after his fight back to health from cancer.
He was a true gentleman, someone I looked up to, such a good man.
Love to you my friend---I will miss you.

NEWS & VIEWS (March/April '09)

Hi guys, a combined month’s news and views this month.
Gary has been away on a much needed holiday, with only a couple of weeks left to the end of the month there is no use writing two entries.
So let’s get down to what’s coming up and what’s happened in the bodyindesign camp.

Coming up on us fast is the Old School Camp, there are a few places left so give me a call or drop me an email.
This I will promise you will be a fantastic day.
We have – thick bars, sandbags and kettlebells waiting for you.
This will be held on April 4th, Saturday afternoon, with myself and Simon Martin.

Been very busy of late, nothing new there then.
What with clients, shows coming up, my guest spot, writing, Train to Train- you could say my days are full.
I do try to spend as much time as possible with the kids though.
Whatever time I can get- I will give them it all.
That’s all kids want and need- some time.
I am loving the football and play fights at the moment with my son Louis- I say at the moment as he is getting big and strong at 7 years old and he is very tall, taking after Louise.
I am very proud of both my children- Molly who’s 10 going on 22 and Louis who’s 7.

Louis last Sunday spent all day being Arnold- he had a leather jacket on and sunglasses. All he said was “I’ll be back” and “Asta la vista baby.”
He was so funny- he even had the walk.

It’s like living again spending time with them.
I look forward to seeing them every day. No matter how busy I get.
I have a guest pose coming up at the Yorkshire on the 31st May and after that we have a camping trip planned, cannot wait.

Talking of the Yorkshire, Robby Robinson is coming over to visit on the 26th May and is staying 6 days so he will be with me at the Yorkshire.
He is bringing with him the Master Plan DVD and other products and will be on the bodyindesign stand.
How awesome is that?
Since heading out to LA and spending time with Robby and Arden we have been in touch every other day.
They are a fantastic couple, I cannot wait to see them both again.

Things in the pipeline...
I have been working hard on the Old School section on this site, so please check it out.
I am sure it will inspire you to train hard, eat clean and be healthy.
I have also been working with a great guy called Mickey from Taut. He has developed for me a new clothing line.
We will have the new t shirts and hoodies on this site real soon. They are just the best quality products.
We will soon have vests, combat training pants, bags -the works- so watch this space.

The Nutrition Manual and Iron Will book are under construction. I am writing whenever I can. They will be worth the wait so please be patient.

The fitness weekends have kicked off well.
Clients have started on this exclusive one to one weekend breaks.
I love working on these and we have such a great time training together. We also cover nutrition and goal setting.
Whatever the goals may be.
For more on these check out the camp section on this site.
Or contact me for details.

For basic day to day information and motivation, check out my blog on the AST site and MySpace.
I write on these every other day.
Keep that fire burning guys and go for your goals-

You only live once- Love Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (February '09)

So much for doing a little less and having some chill time- the busiest January I have ever had. I have been up before 4am, 6 days a week- very busy but loving it.
So much to tell you this month that I don’t know where to begin, so let’s start with how I can help you.
First, please check out the Train to Train section. This is growing and growing as you can see by the PT businesses in that section.
I have had an awesome time working with these trainers and it will be always on going.
The first client I had on the business model was Anthony—who I am so proud of.
His productivity is through the roof and business is booming.
I am proud of all of them, I am also humbled by how they put their trust in me.

I help far more trainers than those on the bodyindesign site and start many up from scratch, build a trainers business up with them and advise them.
I have also helped many gyms to open their doors, or increase business.
Really love business work as much as I do the training side. Actually the same principles apply, find weaknesses and improve them.
If you are feeling the pinch in this current climate- give me a call, don’t be surprised if I can turn things around.

Camps ‘09
The dates for the camps are up in that section. This again can be a fantastic learning experience for yourself and to pass on to your clients if you are in the industry.
The dates have been up a week and already I have some bookings, so don’t leave this too long.
Some weekends have also gone for the Fitness Weekends but contact me regarding availability.

Legends of the game
The Robby and Ian DVD is due out very soon. I have seen the rough cut and was very impressed.
It shows many interviews- and every training session we did together.
You also get to see some sun.
As I am sat here writing this there is around 3 inches of snow on the ground- I think I’ll put the DVD on and soak up that sun and atmosphere.
Keep an eye out for the sale of this awesome DVD on this site. If you enjoyed the article you will love it.

Books
I have been so busy that I will not get Iron Will finished for the Yorkshire in May. I will be working on this with Michael J Phillips and I know for him to edit it before the Yorkshire will be a huge task.
So I diversified a bit, my next book is one that I have thought about for a while now and this will be out in a few weeks.

The Bodyindesign
Nutrition Manual

This manual will cover my guidelines on eating for optimum health and body composition.
Nutrition is the missing link in many bodybuilders and trainers armour.
I have many different theories that have been collaborated from years of research.
I will also cover extensively-competition nutrition. This could be used as a guideline for a show or just for achieving the most amount of muscle and the least amount of body for a holiday or event.
I am sure you will love this manual.

New service
Well not new- but improved.
I have quite a few phone and online clients that I work with, some are as far away as the USA and Australia.
I love the phone consultation side of my business- I love talking and helping clients out. You can get so much more info across by talking than you can through emails.
I use the net for photos, reports, follow up programmes and such.

In the service I will now include the new nutrition manual and other printed material that you can use as a reference in your eating and training plans.
I find that it will give the distance clients the best possible tool to help them to achieve their goals.
In phone consultations we can always refer to the manual while we are in conversation, the client will have a huge resource to study anytime including recipes- they will also be able to use the improvement guide alongside with us here at Bodyindesign.

We will be here with the unlimited emails and phone consultations every two weeks to assess, along with the client, what is working and what isn’t and to advise and motivate.

We have thought long and hard on how to make this a successful add on to our already growing business. We are on to a winner here, I wanted to make things as close to working with me personally and this is the way we can do it;
Phone calls- emails- nutrition manual- training manual (male or female)
For those competing this also extends to my manual which goes further into the level of conditioning needed for today’s competition, so that’s two manuals.
Working alongside me on this- is my wife Louise, as already- it’s taken off.
The phone consultation distance package is offered at a monthly rate with 3 months payable upfront and payments monthly after this.
This includes; Bodyindesign Nutrition Manual.
Bodyindesign Training Manual.
Phone consultations every 2 weeks
Unlimited email access

Please email me or give me a call regarding this service.

The Yorkshire
At the time of writing this I am 17 weeks away from the Yorkshire Championships guest pose.
I have been keeping a blog of training and diet on myspace and the AST site.
Things are going very well, already I am very lean and I look forward to the condition to follow.
My goal is to be as ripped as I was at the Worlds with more fullness as present, all is on course.
The Kenya trip never came off. Things just fell by the wayside over there and were completely out of Robby’s control.
I am so excited about guest posing at the Yorkshire and to top it off we have a great gang of girls in the show—Can not wait.
What a start to an ace year ahead.

We will also have a stand full of goodies this year;
DVDs - Legends of the game and Old School
Books – Nutrition manuals- training manual.
AST supplements and much more.

Books
Read some awesome books this month.
The Brooks Kubik, Legacy of Iron is a must, a very good read. I have everything that this guy has ever produced.
This is way up there, loved it.
A book- that will inspire you and enrich your life.
www.brookskubik.com

I purchased some fantastic eBooks by John Heart a natural Mr. Universe and personal trainer in California.
His eBooks cover the H.I.T training technique and are some of the best I have read, including Mike Mentzer’s work.
They are well written, inspiring and informative.
John has an awesome physique that proves he walks the walk. These books are available for immediate download, they take you through a years’ journey of H.I.T training and diet.
Check them out at www.intenseheart.com

Another great eBook I purchased is by Brian Dobson.
The Metroflex Gym’s Down To Earth Guide To Your Ideal Body.
Brian is the owner of Metroflex in Texas –the home of Ronnie Coleman and many other pro’s.
I found this book a awesome read—I love basic hard work and information, this is just that—I love Brian’s attitude to keeping things simple.
www.metroflexgymtraining.com

I think that will do us this month guys—hope you are all well.
Take care of yourself and those you love Ian.

NEWS & VIEWS (January '09)

Come on, let’s make this the best year yet.
If you can look back on last year and not be happy with what you have achieved- then pull those socks up.
Set goals.
Have a direction.
Step up to your goals and get on with them.
Every year I have goals- I have done this since I was very young. I sit down at the end of the year and plan out the next set of projects that I would like to do- and places I’d like to go.
You must do this.
Write in the front of a notebook Goals 2009 then sit down with a cup of coffee and have an hour to
your-self.

DVD Review
I got a great new DVD for Christmas called ‘Hurricane Warning’- Chris Faildo’s training and lifestyle DVD.
Chris Faildo, for those who don’t know, is a 5’4 awesome natural for life bodybuilder whose nickname is The Hawaiian Hurricane.
Chris recently won the NPC Team Universe in the Welterweight class and the Overall.

I have been a fan of Chris for many years and was over the moon when I received the DVD.
I watched it at every opportunity and I must say I was inspired beyond words.
Chris at 42 looks awesome in the DVD as he is in prep for the Worlds.
Every aspect of his prep from the awesome workouts he goes through to the regimented diet he follows is covered here. His life, his work, everything is in the DVD.
I tell you what, I was never bored. I watched every bit of it in stages due to work- but every minute I covered and studied.

Odd times I have seen DVDs by the top people in the sport and never gained anything from them- no inspiration—more often than not, I end up disillusioned.
Chris is different- he is a gentleman- a true natural dedicated to his life and those close to him.
He has a lot about him, fun and articulate, with a- deep serious get down to work attitude, all at the same time.
Louise even watched all the footage with me and loved it too.
Here are some highlights:
Chris is in awesome shape and moves some real iron.
You see all the meal preps, loads of diet tips.
The Golds Gym where it is shot is mega.
You get to see him at work and at home, this gives you a real insight into Chris as a person.
There are many interviews with clients and family.
Chris gives an extensive interview with photos from his early days.
Hawaii looks awesome and is the perfect setting for the DVD’s feel.
You can see a trailer on YouTube, search Chris Faildo.

Trust me you will love it.

Talking of DVD’s, The Legends of The Game will be available really soon.
This DVD chronicles the week I spent in LA with the legend of the sport Robby Robinson. For the full rundown of this fantastic experience, look back at the October News & Views.
This is also a two disc set and is sure to be a huge seller both here in the UK from me and in the US by Robby.

Some of the proceeds of the sale of this DVD will be going to the- Robby Robinson Feed The Poor Foundation.
This will be in full force by the time Robby and my-self guest pose in the Robby Robinson Black Prince of Kenya Bodybuilding Competition in April.

Robby recently conducted an interview for T-nation, a fantastic article check it out here.

The DVD is not to be missed –tons of info—interviews and of course hard workouts.
Look for an order page appearing on this site soon.

On a quick note - I’ve had a lot of enquiries about the camps this year.
I will do my best to have the dates set by next month so keep an eye on this site.

My training is going very well in preparation of my guest poses
this year in Kenya and at the NPA Yorkshire.
I’m looking to show up in contest shape with improvements on ’07.
It’s taken me a long time to get to this point in my bodybuilding career,
but I have that mindset and balance now as well as the maturity to my physique.
At the Yorkshire I will be releasing my new book ‘Iron Will’.
This I will have worked on with Michael J Phillips and Gary.
It’s sure to do well as the last book I did was 10 years ago and that still sells.

Here’s to an awesome new year.
Make it your best yet- in your sport, your life and most of all- your happiness.
Love to you all, Ian.
