Hi guy’s
Hope you are all well and working towards your goals.
If you’re not striving to make your life better- what are you doing each day?
Look, I am 42 now and you will have heard it all before from your Mum and Dad, life goes so fast. As you get older, it goes faster - weeks just fly by, months too, before you know it we are getting ready for another Christmas and even deeper in debt.
Look you have got to have a plan, a goal, life is for living and anything else is a travesty, a waste of life.
I think one of the reasons I am such a sort after trainer is that I help people in many areas of their lives and not just the health and fitness side.
I am a people person, through and through, sometimes I am asked-“do you have a crystal ball”. I help people with stress, work problems, goal setting, business, career choice, you name it. So I see a pattern, I see people are lost, unhappy, I see that many deep down know there is more in them and I help bring that out.
Now this can take on any shape or form. It may be your goal to work hard-save, pay off your mortgage and then spend many months of the year seeing the world. It may be that you would love to be an artist, an author and earn a living doing so.
Well, what is stopping you? There is a way, there is always a way. You may be trapped in a dead end job that you hate and you have bills to pay. Well why don’t you work hard and save as much as you can, sell everything you don’t need and set to work on your dream. The sadist thing in the world must be when on your last days on this earth you say “if only—what if I had tried to do that, would I have made it?”
You will never know unless you try. If you want to do something, get off your butt and do it. Don’t wait to win the lottery, do what you want to do—now.
People always see problems and never spend enough time on the positives. The problems are nothing if the goal is worth it, you have to pay a price, nothing is free.
If your goal costs you, giving up nights out on the weekend and extra shifts—so be it, at least you are striving towards a better living.
As you can see I am very passionate about life and living it to it’s fullest, I also try to make everyone else see what they are capable of. Sometimes all people need is a shove, someone to tell them—“you can do it—go ahead—get on with it—your ok—now your living life.
I love this work so much that later in the year I am going to hold a Mind Set Seminar. Keep an eye on the page on this site for details, this seminar will change your mind set and your life. In the mean time---live yours now.
Read some awesome books over the last couple of months.
I would like to tell you about them, as they can be life changing.
One such book, I would have in my top five books of all time and I have read thousands it’s called Ultramarathonman. By Dean Karanzes.
This book was just awesome and blew my mind, inspirational beyond words, one hell of a book.
Dean is an ultramarathon runner who will run- at times- hundreds of miles non stop, even over mountains.
|
Dean is not your typical marathon runner as he has a great build and carries a lot of muscle tissue. He trains hard and eats clean to maintain this build and at 43 –or so now is in fantastic shape.
His dedication to his sport is deeply ingrained-but does not infringe on his family life or his business goals—that to me is an ultimate athlete—lives life and is a success in all areas.
To do this he gets up at 4am and runs the streets before his family get up. He then helps his wife sort the children out for school, takes them to school and then starts his day as he owns and runs a health food nutrition company or he works on writing his new book.
I won’t tell you anymore about this book, it is one of those that makes you laugh, cry and inspires the hell out of you. You can pick this up on amazon.co.uk.
Another great book is called 150 of the healthiest foods on earth. By Jonny Bowden. As you can guess the title says it all.
Jonny Bowden is a fantastic nutritionist in the USA who has done work with the likes of Charles Poliquin. I have read countless nutrition books and found this one to be a breath of fresh air, as many books are contradictory.
Jonny cuts through lots of red tape in a clear precise way. If you want the best foods for your body and fitness goals this book is for you. One of those you will pick up again and again. Also available from amazon.co.uk
The next book I would like to suggest you will have to do a bit of shopping around for, as it is no longer in print and I paid a lot for it. It depends were your priorities are on this one.
I spent the money as I know it will pay me big dividends, but only if I put what I learn into practice.
The book is called The life story of Anthony Robbins, by Michael Bolduc.
I have been a fan of Anthony Robbins for many years and I can say that hand on heart without his life changing books, and other authors - I would not be were I am today. He is so powerful that you can change your life by implementing his strategies. I have seen it happen to myself and those close to me. One of my training partners a few years ago went on one of his seminars and within 12 months, he had gone to night school-got a computer qualification then got a job in New Zealand, sold up and went to start a new life with his family. He now has a big house with a pool and an awesome, well paid job.
Before he worked as a French polisher.
The book covers how Tony was kicked out of his house at 17 and how he made it to being one of the highest paid people on the planet.
Search this out—and work out, would it be worth the cost to you?
The money is irrelevant as I know I will make far more from the knowledge and inspiration it gave me.

Check out Marks page on the Train to Train section.
Mark is based in the Malton-Pickering area and has worked with me for a few months now. He is an awesome trainer that cares about his clients and is looking to have deep impact into this field of work.
Mark is a great writer and he will be popping some great articles on his page every month. So please check it out.
The Train to Train is going very well with four clients waiting in the wings. I had to put this on hold a while when setting up my new studio, but it’s back to it now. I enjoy this line of work immensely, and it’s a great feeling to know that you have helped trainers turn their business around and more often than not trebling their income and improving lifestyles.
There has been a little change in plan regarding the DVD. I have had so much interest in my new book, I am presently working on that I have decided to film the DVD to cover the workouts I am now doing, which are of the same principles as HIT and how I would work clients. The book—Fit For Business-covers hard, all body workouts in minimum time. It will also cover easy to follow eating plans that are low maintenance and quick. This is exactly what I do as I am a business man first and fore most. I have to be to feed my family, so time and getting the job done here is of the utmost importance.
Having said that it does not mean that the workouts are unproductive—far from it, all I am saying is I get the job done and get on with my day.
I am training 2-3 days a week for 30 minutes at a time working the large basic exercises hard and fast, so I can be fit as well as strong and look my best.
As of writing this, I am a lean 157lb at 5/3 and squatting 4 ½ plates for reps and dead-lifting 4 and clean and pressing two 70lb dumbbells for sets of ten.
I am happy with my strength and the way I look and even though I am not competing I still want to look good, be strong fit and healthy.
Hard work, minimum fuss and effort.
That also runs over into my eating habits, as always I eat all organic and cover these foods. Eggs, oats, wild salmon, nuts, seeds, fresh vegetables, fruit, including lots of berries, potatoes and sweet potatoes. I also eat organic pumpkin seed rye bread, chicken maybe 2-3 times a week and I will have my stable protein shake AST XGF every day. I top all this off with 2 litres of highland organic spring water.
There is a lot to be said for the basics, hard work and clean eating.
Keep an eye on this site for a release date.
Thank you for reading.
Take care of yourselves and those you love.
Remember live life, get up tomorrow put a big smile on your face and work towards a goal.
Yours always Ian.
